Kieran J. Costello, Esq.

Kieran J. Costello, Esq. is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers of America, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. In addition, Mr. Costello is the Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Greater Bar Association, a Member of the Elder Law Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association and a Member of the Trust and Estates Committee of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.

Mr. Costello has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Housatonic Community College since 1993. Previously, he was a Professor of Law at Albertus Magnus College and Associate Professor at the University of Bridgeport.

Mr. Costello volunteers at Fairfield Community Services, where has served on the Board of Directors, the Domestic Violence Crisis Center of Stamford/Norwalk and the Y.W.C.A. of Greenwich. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at “the Center for Family Justice” in Bridgeport where he continues to volunteer. Mr. Costello is a State of Connecticut Certified Domestic Violence Counselor.

Mr. Costello has served as a Court-appointed Special Master in the Bridgeport and Milford Superior Courts. He also serves as a Special Master at the Regional Family Trial Docket.

 

Christopher P. Brennan, Esq.

Attorney Brennan concentrates in the areas of personal injury law, family law and criminal law. Attorney Brennan is an experienced trial attorney. Throughout his legal career, he has litigated thousands of civil, family and criminal cases and has participated in worker’s compensation hearings throughout the state.

After completing law school, Attorney Brennan began his legal career as a contract specialist working for Otis Elevator, a Fortune 500 United Technologies Company focusing on commercial contract negotiation and labor litigation. After leaving Otis Elevator, Attorney Brennan became an associate at Esty and Buckmir, LLC, an insurance defense firm focusing on worker’s compensation and general insurance defense litigation for major insurance companies.

As a partner at Costello, Brennan, DeVidas, Sasso and Sinclair, P.C., Attorney Brennan represents countless numbers of clients in areas of personal injury litigation, worker’s compensation litigation and family litigation. He also represents those who are in need of criminal defense.

Attorney Brennan’s professional activities are numerous. He is Co-Chair of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association Worker’s Compensation Committee. He is also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and Connecticut Bar Association. Attorney Brennan also volunteers at the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Stamford, Connecticut and provides legal advice to victims of domestic violence.

In addition to his work as an attorney, he is also a lecturer at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he teaches college courses in the area of Business Law.

The National Trial Lawyers has selected Attorney Brennan for inclusion into its Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Connecticut.
This honor is given to only the top 100 attorneys in each state or region for their superior leadership skills, knowledge, qualifications, and results as lawyers. He has also been nominated as a Super Lawyer on several occasions amongst his peers.

Attorney Brennan received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2006, after having received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut.

Claire DeVidas, Esq

Claire DeVidas, Esq

Claire DeVidas joined Costello, Brennan and DeVidas, P.C. in 2008 and practices primarily in the area of family law, including, divorce, custody, visitation, alimony, child support, restraining orders and post-judgment modification and enforcement actions. She is experienced representing high net worth individuals and those with complex compensation packages. Ms. DeVidas began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her experience prosecuting violent crimes, including domestic violence, provides her with unique insight into the dynamics of abusive relationships and provides her clients with an edge in court proceedings. Ms. DeVidas also offers divorce mediation services for those couples who meet certain criteria. ” She gets great satisfaction by assisting individuals preserve their hard earned savings rather than engage in costly, protracted litigation.”

Ms. DeVidas is a member of the Family Law section of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce. She also accepts appointments as a Guardian ad Litem in contested custody matters. Ms. DeVidas is a State of Connecticut Certified Domestic Violence Counselor.

Ms. DeVidas is admitted to practice in the states of Connecticut and Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.

Ms. DeVidas received her B.A. and B.S. from the College of Charleston in 1993 and her J.D. from Pace Law School in 2000. During law school, Ms. DeVidas was a recipient of the prestigious Equal Justice Fellowship for her work with women victims of domestic violence. She completed mediation training at Quinnipiac University School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution in 2016.

Edward L. Sinclair III, CPA, Esq.

Mr. Sinclair represents clients in family matters, including divorces, custody petitions and post judgment actions. Much of Mr. Sinclair’s work has involved reviewing small business ownership interests and their potential value in property settlement or support orders. Mr. Sinclair also represents clients in matter before the Probate Court. In addition to estate administration, Mr. Sinclair has experience representing clients in conservatorship and guardianship matters. Mr. Sinclair is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Fairfield County Bar Association, and Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.

Prior to returning to law school Mr. Sinclair was part of the business advisory and audit practice of Arthur Andersen and was the Vice President and Controller of a small professional firm.

Mr. Sinclair earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, a Master of Science in Professional Accounting from the University of Hartford, and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While at Quinnipiac University, Mr. Sinclair was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, where he competed and coached in family law competitions. Mr. Sinclair was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and offered his time to the community preparing tax returns in connection with the VITA program.

Mr. Sinclair volunteers his time at the legal advice clinic sponsored by the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Stamford, Connecticut. Mr. Sinclair is active in his church, giving his time to mission projects, committee membership and music ministry.

Anthony Sasso, Esq.

Mr. Sasso earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut, and a Juris Doctor from The University of Connecticut School of Law. While at the University Of Connecticut School of Law, Mr. Sasso was the winner of the University of Connecticut School of Law Alva P. Loiselle competition, which is a competition in appellate advocacy. Mr. Sasso was a member of Moot Court Board where he competed as well as coached appellate advocacy. Mr. Sasso also was a finalist in the Davis Mock Trial Competition held at the University Of Connecticut School of Law. Mr. Sasso is a State of Connecticut Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. During law school, Mr. Sasso volunteered his time at the University of Connecticut Criminal Clinic providing legal representation to defendants. Mr. Sasso also has volunteered his time at the Center for Children’s Advocacy in Hartford, Connecticut representing under-privileged children in a wide array of legal proceedings.

Sean R. Plumb, Esq.

Sean Plumb attended the University of Connecticut where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While at the University of Connecticut. Mr. Plumb served one term as a member of the Student Government Association. Mr. Plumb later obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.

Prior to joining Costello, Brennan, DeVidas, Sasso and Sinclair, P.C., Mr. Plumb spent over four years at a general practice firm in Shelton, CT representing clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Mr. Plumb is admitted to practice in the courts of Connecticut and New York, as well as all Federal Courts. Mr. Plumb is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.

 

Alissa M. Korwek, Esq.

Alissa Korwek attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development & Family Studies. She later earned a full merit scholarship to attend Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she obtained a Juris Doctor, cum laude.

Ms. Korwek began law school as an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office, where she assisted in prosecuting white collar crimes. Throughout the remainder of law school, Ms. Korwek focused primarily on family law. She worked as a Sappern Fellow in the New Haven Courthouse, providing legal assistance to self-represented parties in divorce and restraining order matters and as a law clerk in a small boutique family law firm in Wallingford, Connecticut. Ms. Korwek also served as the Vice President of Quinnipiac’s Mock Trial team, where she competed and earned awards for her oral advocacy.

Ms. Korwek practices primarily in family law, having experience in numerous issues, including divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, and post-judgment matters. Ms. Korwek is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.
